Coach Kelvin

Kelvin coaches the girls' football team every Saturday. He is based in the Nyawa village and has a background in sports, and especially football.

Here are some videos of the girls in action!

Nyawa United

Establishing a girls' football team in a rural village in Zambia has been extremely rewarding, yet challenging. While there has been positive developments in terms of girls' participation in sports, there is still a long way to go.

The girls act as role models for other young females in their communities, both on and off the playing field.

Nyawa United is so much more than developing football skills. It is a space where the girls are thriving individually, boosting their self-esteem and enhancing other important life-skills such as togetherness, collaboration, decision-making, and communication-skills.

In addition to supporting the girls through sports, we also pay for their education and school uniforms. We strongly believe that education transforms lives, being the backbone of sustainable development.
